Privacy & security

Plain-English, and honest about what we do and don't do today.

The short version: when you use a Business Pulse, your figures are worked out in your own browser. They are not sent to our servers unless you create an account and save your results.

What we collect

Business Pulse (not signed in):nothing about your numbers leaves your device. We log an anonymous, number-free event — “a Trading Pulse was run” — to understand which tools are used.

When you create an account: your name, email and (optionally) company. If you choose to save a pulse, we store the inputs and results against your account so you can return to them.

How we protect it

Everything travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

Passwords are stored only as a strong one-way hash — never in plain text, and we can never see them.

Saved data sits in our managed database, which encrypts data at rest at the infrastructure level. We are progressively hardening this (application-level encryption of sensitive fields, access auditing); we would rather tell you where we are than overstate it.

Your rights (India / DPDP Act 2023)

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data tied to your account. We only use your data to provide the product and never sell it.

Some DPDP controls (formal consent records, a full access-audit log, a breach-notification process) are still being built. If that matters for your use, please reach out.

Not financial advice

FinMech turns your numbers into indicative insights to help you think. It is decision support, not a substitute for reconciled accounts or professional financial advice.
